How to keep files between the flash drive and computer in sync?

I have a computer and a flash drive that they have the same task files. I take the flash drive and from school to work on homework, and I have to manually update the files on my computer. How can I have files in the flash disk automatically update the files on my computer?

I recommend the use of "Beyond Compare" will synchronize two duifferent folders to ensure that both parties have the most current files and are identicle. It is shareware.
